A cookbook that follows you to the stove.
View on Play Store → Privacy Policy ->Cookzy is a modern recipe app that helps you find, organize, and cook recipes with ease. Step-by-step instructions, smart search, and a personal cookbook that respects your handwriting. The cooking mode keeps the screen awake, the steps large, and your hands free.
Most recipe apps treat the kitchen like a reading room, dense paragraphs, tiny fonts, a screen that sleeps the moment your hands are floury. Cookzy starts from the stove and works backwards. A step-mode that breaks each recipe into glanceable cards, a smart timer that lives in the notification shade, and a shopping list that knows what you already have. Recipes can be imported from any URL, hand-typed, or dictated. Your cookbook stays yours, exportable, ad-free, and syncing only when you ask it to.
Recipe apps optimise for discovery, not cooking. The moment a user starts actually cooking, the app fails them, the screen sleeps, ads appear, the steps shrink, and the timer lives somewhere else entirely.
We treated the kitchen as the primary surface, not the feed. Step-mode is the centrepiece, everything else, discovery, saving, sharing, is one navigation away. We co-designed with eight home cooks, iterating in their own kitchens.

Recipe markup on the web is wildly inconsistent. We trained a parser that falls back through three structured-data formats, then to readable-text heuristics.
Cooks juggle three or four timers per meal. We surfaced them as stacked chips in the notification shade with quick dismiss and snooze.
Step-mode keeps the screen on, but only while the user is in the recipe. A clean teardown on background ensures the radio stays asleep.
"I finally stopped propping my phone against a flour bag. Step-mode is the only app that respects what cooking is actually like."
Cookzy may include ads and in-app purchases for optional features, but it is designed without tracking.
Yes, we import from any URL, plain text, and the major recipe app exports. Migration is one-tap.
Yes, sync is opt-in and end-to-end encrypted. Cookzy servers see only opaque blobs.
